We depend on a very complex wiring to perform
well. Our Random Access Memory full of applications
to reach programs should be accessible the whole time. Most of the time we could have the program in
the hard
drive but it is not readily accessible, or the energy to have the RAM
on
is not there (lack of concentration, desire, intention, etc.).
RAM
Alternatively referred to as main memory, primary memory,
or system memory, Random Access Memory (RAM) is a computer
storage location that allows information to be stored and accessed quickly from
random locations within DRAM on a memory
module. Because information is accessed randomly instead of sequentially like
a CD or hard
drive the computer can access the data much faster than it would if it was
only reading the hard drive. However, unlike ROM and the hard drive RAM is a volatile
memory and requires power in order to keep the data accessible, if power is
lost all data contained in memory lost.
We could repeat thousand times the same thing, but
when performing what it was practiced, it is not there (the map is not the
territory); LACK OF PROGRAM OR LACK OF APPLICATION TO ACCESS THE PROGRAM is the
cause of this failure. A program call high
performance (most of the high performance
programs have the same things) located in the hard drive is needed as
well as access to the hard drive from the RAM in order to
perform well; and, of course, the application called intention to perform well or
belief in what we do should be in the RAM. We, humans, had a great philosopher and
scientist named Gregory Bateson who spoke about it long time ago:
"Specifically, it is the lack of knowledege of the presuppositions not only of science but also of everyday life...This lack is rather equally distributed at all levels of education."
At the same time, acquiring the program to concentrate
more than 100% on the task is needed, so we can be able to access our programs
and perform the best we can. Where can
we get the program to concentrate more than 100%? It is acquired at home, at school and when
training. All those places should be on the same page in order to acquire the
program to concentrate more than 100% when performing a task.
There are other important applications in the RAM
which are the basis to perform well; information that seems irrelevant, but
information that we should take into consideration when doing a task or
creating a strategy. When do I make a
move when riding the bike? Depends on the race, the purpose of the race, the
team strategy, where in the race we are, who else is going to suffer if I make
certain move? I was reading about running in triathlon. It needs more information to make such
statement:
Why some triathletes run better off the bike than others is not fully
understood, but it appears to have something to do with differences in how
individual athletes’ neuromuscular systems are wired. In a 2010 study by
Australian researchers, about half of the triathlete subjects tested exhibited
involuntary changes to their normal running mechanics after riding a bike.
These changes reduced their running economy.

It is obvious that the variable wattage while riding
the bike for triathletes is not taken into consideration from what the author
mentions. To think clearly requires having
the right variables in our heads.
THINKING ABOUT VARIABLES IS IN OUR RAM. Our
RAM is formed by our culture and experience, and it is what make us react
automatically.
The first time I saw Jorgensen was at the Huatulco World Cup,
she was not able to swim, bike and run with the leaders. The question in my mind was how and what type
of training she needed to get with the leaders.
She was sort of jumping when running, without cadence; same thing that I
saw when watching Alan Webb; the distance per step is more or less there but the cadence
is not there after the bike.

The reason why we have failed with our athletes is
because the high performance program is not in the athlete’s hard drive, or
the RAM does not have the application intention to perform well. The application intention to perform well is
in the culture; the program in the hard drive.
Without the application intention to perform well it is impossible to
create a champion.
