We read about the letter written to Angela Merkel
about not being selected to represent Germany in the Olympic Games when Laura Lindemann was the number 26 (July
16th) in the world and there were spots available for Germany:
Laura Lindemann just turned 21-years-old and has been
Junior World Champion twice. The
Mexicans threw a party when the Germans and the Hollanders left the female spots
open because they would have another athlete competing; that is how the
Olympics are considered now a day by two different nations. One nation wants to send just the ones with
chances to be at least in the first eight; the others like the Baron of Coubertin,
competing in the Olympics is the goal.
Mexico is sending 124 athletes and they are expecting five medals the
most. Unfortunately, this is not what the
majority of the Mexicans want according to polls; it is business for the
administrators of sports for Mexico (COI, CONADE, FMTRI):

I experienced an encounter with a German laboratory
when working at IUPG, Geneva, Switzerland.
They exchanged information with our lab because in the 90’s our lab was digitalized
for at least 10 years and they were doing EEG just with ink and paper. We stored the information digitalized and with
ink and paper for quite some time until the digitalization was 100% related to
the paper. I asked them why they did not digitalize information, they told me
that so far the digitalization was not something to trust.
Was the German decision for the reasons of who will be
winning or because the problems would come if they would have another
selection? Befehl ist Befehl still in the head of the Germans. At this point in the game Lindemann has
better chances of placing higher than Anne Haug. Haug has not shown what she had two years
back; she is not near what she was, she is not the same Anne. Lindemann is a promise, but because of her
age, chances are that she can improve for the competition and to continue with
her process that perhaps is just that.
It would be a beautiful game to see her.
The selection process in this context make the Olympics less important
than the World Series. I love to see the
best competing. It is horrible not to
allow this natural selection for triathlon which it is better for humanity,
because points out what humanity needs to improve to better human beings. Today’s triathlon results:
