Triathlon and Violence

This comes after Ana Guevara, silver medalist in Athens, 400 meters, was attacked and hurt while riding her motorcycling.  Violence in Mexico?  Attack by somebody?  Thousands of people disappeared in the last ten years and governing class has done nothing, except for making it worst and increasing their own guards.  We have had billions of dollars stolen by the governing class including the Senate, most of the Mexican states are broke.  Less than 1% of the crimes are solved in Mexico.  The more crimes unsolved including and foremost, the ones done by the Senate and the governing class accentuate the problem.

We assume that punishment has a dissuasive effect on the population, although not necessarily on the convict. Thus, whenever a criminal is convicted, the honesty index of all the population but the criminal, is increased by a fixed amount δH. Convicted criminals do not change their honesty level. On the contrary, when the crime is not punished, the entire population but the criminal decrease their honesty index by δH, while the criminal decreases his by 2δH: unpunished criminals become even less honest.

Carmen Aristegui, the one that documented the “gift” given to the President´s spouse in Mexico (the Mexican White House), tried to persuade Ana Guevara to think and act intelligently by considering a passive aggressive stand from the governing class regarding this matter:

Passive aggressive behaviour takes many forms but can generally be described as a non-verbal aggression that manifests in negative behavior. It is where you are angry with someone but do not or cannot tell them. Instead of communicating honestly when you feel upset, annoyed, irritated or disappointed you may instead bottle the feelings up, shut off verbally, give angry looks, make obvious changes in behaviour, be obstructive, sulky or put up a stone wall. It may also involve indirectly resisting requests from others by evading or creating confusion around the issue. Not going along with things. It can either be covert (concealed and hidden) or overt (blatant and obvious).

Ana called up the athletes that were obstructed by the Mexican Sport Federations, broadcasting the meeting in YouTube.  Nothing has happened after the meeting except that the athletes are vulnerable to persecution by the Mexican authorities the athletes accused.  Big fishes are not touchable and we need big fishes facing charges in order to increase the honesty index of the population.  As a population, we can increase our honesty index by making them just to face charges because our honesty index is too low.  We have narco-governors, narco-deputies, narco-senators.  The criminals on wheels, like the ones attacking Ana are a part of the chain but the little ones.
