The concept of winning has different meanings following
the enlarged diversity in western societies.
Winning has to do with meeting the goals and the goals are different
depending on the people. Trump is here
for at least four years and the Mexicans are concerned about the consequences. Well, it is not the same for every Mexican. Since I was born I know that the enemy is at
home, our governing class, including our justice system. Trump knows that most of them are corrupted and
involved in illegal businesses. Trump in
power is like a red light in their head; somebody else above my helper knows
they are corrupted. My helper knows that
nothing will change for her with Trump in power. Goals are different, the job pursued will be
there for her because it is an honest one. The others will be worried because
the cake gets limited and observed. We
have to augment our honesty index pressured by the circumstances if we
want to achieve goals. Please

The President of the Track and Field Mexican Federation
was detained because he has not given details of how he used $250.000.00
dollars. He is a scapegoat because frauds
exist in all the Mexicans Federations; except that the others considered paying
a lawyer and an accountant to look like they are not stealing money or working for
the athletes. Lozano hired his “buddies”
to do the accounts and the legal matters and he ended up in jail. By the way, the amount claimed must be at
least three times more, but the Mexican authorities did not work hard enough to
find the rest missing. Unfortunately, this
is not the main problem. The problem is
the obstruction, the inefficiency, the arrogance and the mediocrity surrounding
these people. Juan Luis Barrios said what
I mentioned long before it happened:
“Aunque ya tiene la marca requerida, e incluso
cumple con el tiempo para los Juegos Olímpicos en los 10 mil metros, Barrios
debe respetar las reglas. Hace poco me presentó su renuncia como becario de
CIMA, pero espero no hacerla válida. Ojalá nos podamos juntar con Bernardo de
la Garza para que todo se solucione”…
En caso de que Barrios decidiera no asistir a
la evaluación que se llevará a cabo en el estadio Roberto Tapatío Méndez de la
UNAM, podría incluso perder la oportunidad de asistir a los Juegos Olímpicos.
“No creo que sea sano dejar fuera de los Panamericanos a nuestro mejor atleta y perder la oportunidad de sumar al medallero. En mi época sólo se trataba de dar la marca, no de asistir a Nacionales, pero tenemos que adecuarnos. Estoy optimista en que todo se resolverá para bien y no habrá necesidad de que pierda el ciclo”.

Are they going after all the Mexican Federations
because they do not do their job? I
doubt it, most of the problems are revenges for old matters; they do not care
about athletes and performance.
Augmenting the honesty index is the only thing that could help us
improve as a nation and as triathletes.
