We have spoken about running and triathlon in previous
post, 7/17/12. This would be the
continuation. After looking the 10k ran
by Allister Brownlee at Stanford, the three greatest British runners came to my
mind:
Sebastian Coe was the greatest. He had no doubts, training hard and having
and amazing technique. Allister is no
doubt next to them, in a different format: Triathlon. The heritage is there; it is not a genetic
heritage but a cultural one. Allister is
learning how to run faster than what he does now the 10k. He will be running below 28 minutes the 10k
before the next Olympics, by just practicing perseverance. Perseverance is part of the culture he
belongs to.
The technique and cadence of Sebastian Coe is
impressive. Look in slow motion. No
sinking, hips in front, barely touching the ground, high cadence, legs in front
of his center of gravity.
